MSHDA Grants
0% INTEREST HOME IMPROVEMENT LOANS AVAILABLE TO ROSCOMMON TOWNSHIP HOMEOWNERS

The Roscommon County Housing Commission has received a grant from MSHDA to assist homeowners in Roscommon Township with 0% interest home improvement loans.  These loan funds are to bring owner occupied homes to HUD's minimum housing quality standards.  Typical improvements are; roof, siding, insulation, windows, doors, furnace, well's, weatherization, lead paint and general health and safety improvements to the home.  Income limits are under 80% of area median income and loans for very low income applicants are deferred.  The chart below indicates maximum allowable income to be eligible.  For an application and additional eligibility requirements, please contact the Housing Commission at 275-8306.

Roscommon County has a new funding source to help!

The Roscommon County Housing Commission now administers the PIP-Plus program.  Eligible homeowners can get 50% of the home improvement cost, up to $10,000 forgiven in 5 years.  The balance will be a PIP loan with monthly payments at 4% or 6% interest.
